Histories of Islamic heroes,Pondering Quran etc.
I love cooking
I am looking for a pious groom.
Well educated in Islamic studies as well as Worldly studies.
Good Character and Caring groom.
I reverted to Islam 5 years ago and am a committed Muslim ever since alhamdulilah. I will describe myself as an accepting, caring and adaptive person, someone who wants to grow and strive to be a better Muslim every day.
With regards to aqeedah, I don’t follow any single mazhab and could be considered from the salafiyyah strain if today’s terminology is used but I’d rather not label myself. I take my knowledge and its authenticity seriously as long as it remains true to the Qur’an and sunnah. I see myself as an extremely spiritual person and a doer. Someone more interested in applying what I learn to be able to keep improving and get that to reflect in my book of deeds insha Allah.
I also happen to be a freelance copywriter and wish to continue working even after marriage. I'm rather quiet but with the right people I'm a force of nature.
Religion is my lifeline. I function on prayer and I'm thankful for being able to understand and love Islam and love the sweetness of faith and the nearness to Allah that it brings with it. I seek to gain more knowledge and keep leveling up in actionable ilm, imaan and practice of Islam.
Somethings about me -
I'm a total introvert and believe in building deep connections with people around me.
I LOVE to read. I haven't read all the classics nor have nuanced opinions on literature but I dapple in pleasure reading. I love reading for the sheer joy of it. Everything else is cherry on top. I like to read self help books as well as books on psychology and how it affects everything we do.
Reading other people's words also bought with it the need to write my own so I journal, I write poetry and sometimes just gibberish. This is apart from writing professionally. Alhamdulillah.
I've also tried my hand at islamic geometry which intrigues me due to its mere existence. That a need for creative outlet without compromising on faith could produce such art is absolutely fascinating and inspiring to me.
I also love to learn new things and new skills. And although I can't juggle yet, I can knit, cook the world's best chicken biryani (self-claimed and peer reviewed) and make home made cappuccino and a lot more.
I love travelling too and I've been bitten by the travel bug once so probably I'm incurable. I LOVE trekking and hiking and I'm not big fan of planned tours. I'm a light traveler who loves the beaten path but I also don't mind being a tourist sometimes. It's all about the experience.
I'll end with two of my favorite verses -
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. [2:186]
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.(24:35)
